Summer Olympic Games

The Summer Olympics start today in London England. The Opening Ceremony is a celebration showcasing the best of the Host Nation. It also includes a parade of all competing nations and the highly anticipated entrance of the Olympic Flame, which ignites the Cauldron and signals the start of the Games. I enjoy watching this ceremony.

Once every four years, the world’s top athletes meet, to compete in the Summer Olympics. This will be the XXX Olympiad.

The Olympic competitions are held over a two week period.

Jimmy Carr. The 2012 Olympics is going to cost £8 billion which is a lot of money. It’ll probably bankrupt London. But you can’t put a price on two bronze medals in cycling.
