Today is Book Lovers Day

I am…a book lover.

Book Lovers Day encourages you to find a place in the shade to relax with a good book.

Book reading is a great hobby. It’s an important one, too. Employers look for it on resumes. Reading is educational, informative, and relaxing. It makes us both smarter and happier people.

Here is a suggested way to celebrate. Just grab an interesting book, find a quiet, cozy place, and crack open the cover or turn on your kindle. Celebrating Book Lovers Day in August is pleasurable on the deck, under a shady tree, poolside, or in a cozy hammock.

I have read two books this month. “Be a Dog with a Bone (Always for your Dreams)” by Peggy McColl. Here is quote from the book: “Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read.” – Groucho Marx. The other book “Simple Things” by Jim Brickman with Cindy Pearlman

Quote on book lovers:
“All good and true book-lovers practice the pleasing and improving avocation of reading in bed … No book can be appreciated until it has been slept with and dreamed over.” – Eugene Field
