I let go of sarcasm.
Can you think of any time when sarcasm would be appropriate? Making harsh comments to or about others feels mean to me. Here is a sample of sarcasm from Mark Twain. “I refused to attend his funeral. But I wrote a very nice letter explaining that I approved of it.”
Quotes on sarcasm:
•“Sarcasm: intellect on the offensive.” – unknown author
•“A sarcastic person has a superiority complex that can be cured only by the honesty of humility.” – Lawrence G. Lovasik
•“Avoid sarcasm. Don’t insist on the last word.” – Ford Frick
•“Blows are sarcasms turned stupid.” – George Eliot
•“Sarcasm I now see to be, in general, the language of the devil; for which reason I have long since as good as renounced it.” – Thomas Carlyle
