Today is Bake Cookies Day. We did this at Christmas time when I was a growing up. We baked lots of batches of Christmas cookies. There were the candy cane cookies. Twisting red and white dough then sprinkling with pieces from a candy cane. Next were the sugar cookies that we would use cut into shapes and then sprinkle with colored sugar. Another was the Christmas Tree cookies that we used a cookie press to create. Let’s not forget the Snickerdoodles with their cinnamon flavor and Thumb prints with my favorite jam filling. I have lots of fond memories from baking cookies.
