How to see babies without being responsible for them?

I met with a friend at SF Zoo. She was moving from San Francisco to Sonoma and we decided to get together to say good-bye. She hadn’t been to the zoo in years. I have a membership card and guest pass so it was free for both of us and turned into a fun afternoon. The weather was perfect. Sunny with very little wind.  The zoo wasn’t crowded as we went mid-week.

We saw three babies, the giraffe, gorilla and tiger. I felt really lucky. First was the baby giraffe named Erin who was outside eating leaves hung from a pole. Next we walked past the gorilla compound. The baby kept walking in and out of the building they sleep in. Then we went over to the Lion House. The mother tiger and baby were outside. Baby who is named Jillian was sitting right next to Plexiglas window. The closest I have ever been to her. Then I went to see my grandson. I feel like I got up close to all these babies and especially close to my grandson. I got to hold him. And did you see that as my title says I got to see babies without being responsible for them.  A fun day.
