It feels like I live at the top of the world

I know I don’t but I feel closer to the sky. In April of this year I moved from the SF Bay Area to Cool, CA. From sea level to 1700 feet elevation. The last part of trip is up Highway 49 to Cool. The road levels out and space seems to open up with fields. There are no more big hills to climb. The sun shines brightly and I feel closer to the clouds. My heart sings. A smile comes over my face as I take in a deep breath and look skyward. I live off Highway 193 where I do some more climbing to the street where I live. Now though I am among trees, lots of deer and some wild turkey. It is very peaceful place to be. There are several horses and Hazel the donkey down the street. Though I don’t hear her bay. I haven’t seen a bear yet but they are around. Someone in our area left their kitchen window open to find a bear eating the dessert left on the counter. Rule is to keep all doors and windows shut at all times and our pets inside as well. During the hot summer days deer spend the day under the deck at the back of my house.
I feel it is the communing with nature that frees my spirit and makes me feel alive. More in tune and a feeling of feeding my soul. Here is a picture of deer that says peaceful to me. So is there something that makes you feel like you are living at the top of the world?
I am serene
