Today is National Dog Day

I had three dogs when I was growing up. Well one was my brothers, a golden retriever. I remember when our Lhasa Maltese mix had her puppies. We were standing at the top of stairs listening and trying to guess how many puppies she had. We kept one.

National Dog Day has gone International with 6 countries participating this year! New countries would be United Kingdom, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Spain and Canada.

The National Dog Day Foundation supports all breeds and varieties of dogs and discourages purchasing from unethical backyard breeders and puppy mills; instead, support reputable breeders or adopt from rescue homes.

Do you have a dog? If so, how are you going to celebrate the day? Special treat for your dog, new chew toy, or a walk in the park.
