National Laundry Dry

I started a group which meets on the 4th Sunday of each month at my church. After the service is over, we meet to discuss the 3 Rs. What are the three Rs? Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. On this National Laundry Day I am focused on continuing to use less or actually no plastic containers for doing laundry. In February I started giving out samples of laundry detergent sheets to anyone who was willing to try it. I have given out sheets from four different vendors. They are either packaged in an envelope or box. One of the vendors even has packaging that is biodegradable. You can tear the envelope into pieces and bury it in the soil. Too cool. My focus is to reduce plastic as it does not disintegrate.

National Laundry Day Has suggestions for activities. One is to do a review of your detergent. They have found that most of us use the same detergent we grew up with.  I stopped that years ago as the scent was too much for me. I prefer unscented laundry detergent.  Maybe a new choice of detergent will even make everything cleaner.

Are you willing to review what you use to do laundry and be willing to try something new? Are we clean yet!
