National Hot Dog Day

Today is National Hot Dog Day in USA. July is also National Hot Dog month. Usually celebrated on the 3rd Wednesday in July. Not in 2020. It is on the 4th Wednesday when the North American Meat Institute will host its annual Hot Dog Lunch on Capitol Hill.

Yes, a chance to celebrate one of America’s favorite summer sandwiches. Add lots of condiments. First Sunday in August is National Mustard Day for one of most used condiment on hot dogs.

It is summertime when hot dogs are everywhere. They are center stage on the grill, (I have even grilled them with pineapple chunks) and at picnics all across America. They are at the ballpark, though non so far in 2020. They have been sold from carts on street corners in every city. It’s not hard to find them. We consume hundreds of millions of hot dogs on the Fourth of July alone. My quote, “I am…enjoying hot dogs with lots of condiments!”
