The last day/night of the month I spend reviewing the hours I work for my clients. This in order to prepare monthly invoices for services rendered. I record/track hours worked in my calendar on the phone and on a calendar I keep in the car. This is my mileage log for tax purposes and I find it a backup to my calendar in my phone. I enter the hours into my accounting software and then create my monthly invoices. Some I put in the mail, some I e-mail to clients and some I hand deliver. I remember back when I would mail almost all of them and that was before there was the internet to submit them via.
